DO THYSELF NO HARM

We have been harming ourselves by talking about other ministers, ministries, and people. This is because we think they are not walking in a realm as high as where we are.

I read in Psalm 105:15, "Touch not Mine anointed, and do My prophets no harm."

We have seen people come against us, and they lost everything. Do we want to lose our inheritance and everything that the Lord gave to us? Well, if this is what we want, then we can just keep on talking about God's anointed, and then we will wind up like Ham. Read Genesis 9:20-27. If we, as with Ham, reveal another's nakedness, all of our seeds -- our works, our ministries, everything we do in the "name" of Jesus -- will be a Canaan (a humiliating curse, Heb.) We will be a servant of servants. When we see somebody walking in a different realm in the Lord, that doesn't mean they are not in the Lord. They are still His.

I believe we keep forgetting we are all one body, and every part works differently. My feet do the walking, my hands work, my eyes see, and my ears hear. They all have a different ministry. So, please, let us not judge that we will not be judged. Who knows, we might have a beam in our eyes, while the one we are talking about only has a splinter.

Have we forgotten the sobering words of Jesus? "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye" (Mat 7:1-5).

And do we remember what Solomon wrote? "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof" (Prov 18:20-21).

Also, do we believe God is really omnipotent, and He works all things after the counsel of His own will? He is, of course, and He does. Therefore, everything is in perfect order. Knowing this, my spiritual brothers and sisters, let us be mature and not be as the Corinthians, to whom Paul rebuked: "For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?" (1 Cor 3:3).

In closing we will note another word of admonition from the apostle James: "Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace" (James 3:13-18).

Think about it! Refrain from the evil, apply the good -- and you will do thyself no harm. Amen!
