(Part 1) #203.08 | The Apocalypse — its mere mention sends images of hell on earth flashing through the minds of many. Thoughts arise of the Antichrist, 666, the mark of the beast, and the false prophet. A period is seen when there is great upheaval lashing out at mankind and lasting three and a half to seven years, during which time Satan will exert subtle, then tyrannical rule over the inhabitants of the earth. But is it so? |
Rather than the apocalypse being "A cosmic cataclysm in which God destroys the ruling powers of evil," as many dictionaries define it, the final stage of the Apocalypse is the unveiling and bringing into view the very life and majesty of Jesus Christ, and this includes His glorious body of the sons of God.
Each of us are but a small part in the whole picture of the apocalypse; but in Christ there will be no end to who we are and shall be, and that is no small thing. As our existence dates back before the creation of the earth, the founding of the world, and on into infinity, so shall our increase proceed forward into that glorious infinity, ever growing, multiplying, and helping to fill the universe with Christ's glorious life. What an Apocalypse! What a manifestation of the sons of God!
The thought of "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" has been written about before. With some I am in agreement and some I am not. The Rider of the four horses is the same as the one of Revelation 19:11-16, but serves two different purposes. The one of chapter 19, like the kings of the past, goes in the forefront of the battle leading His army into victory over every enemy. We see Him as a Conqueror coming as the King of kings upon His white horse of righteousness and with His mighty army upon theirs. The Rider in Chapter 6 comes alone and rides through the land and heavens of His own body.

Pavilions of Darkness: "He made darkness His secret place; His pavilion round about him dark waters and thick clouds of the skies," Psalm 18:11.
Pavilions of Darkness (continued) The Antichrist: Some looked upon the president-elect as the world's savior — a black man riding from the east upon a white horse to save the day. While others believe this mysterious man who came out of obscurity is not their savior, but the antichrist...
The Abomination of Desolation: "Therefore when you see the *'abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand)," Matt. 24:15 (NKJV).
Dispensationalism And The Rapture: Presumption is to believe something as being true in the absence of proof. The doctrine of Dispensationalism has been promulgated by believing the concept is true, yet without proof, which in turn has been the principal cause of skewing much of Christendom's thinking. It is said that Dispensationalism is the divine ordering of worldly affairs in specified eras of time. The adherents of Dispensationalism generally strive for a literal interpretation of the Bible rather than seeing that there are spiritual aspects of the scriptures as well.
Michael And The Dragon: " 7And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."
Lucifer and Fallen Angels: How many times Lucifer is found in the Bible? It is assumed that Lucifer is interchangeable with Satan and is used as often -- but is it?

The Day of The Lord (Part 1) "...If the pastors who embrace and truly keep the fourth commandment of the law, they could not minister to the people on the seventh day. For their ministry was reserved to only the LORD on that day....If the people attended and received that which he ministered, they would be partakers of his work and just as guilty of the pastor’s disobedience to that command as he would be. They all would be breaking the very law that they believed to be upholding....."
The Day of The Lord (Part 2) "The LORD met with the people on the Sabbath day; but it was in relationship to death and not an occasion to socialize, to preach, or to teach Sunday or Sabbath school--all of which came from the Jewish Synagogue practices that Israel brought with them from their captivity in Babylon. It was from there where the law was taught and the scriptures read to the people; but it was not the Sabbath Day that the LORD commanded to be kept holy. It was something they started while in exile. Christian Churches are structured largely after Constantine's State Church: He adopted a church which modeled its organization not merely upon the Roman State but upon its most authoritarian aspect--his imperial army. In Constantine's Church, bishops would rule districts corresponding with military dioceses. They would control appointments and impose discipline. Lesser clerics would report through a chain of command up to the local pontiff. Staff officers, in the guise of deacons and presbyters, would control funds and allocations much the same way many Christian organizations are structured. Sunday and Sabbath school of the services were not known until the early 1780s."

The Day of The Lord (Part 3) The Sabbath continued and... "I will give unto you the keys to the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:19. That is: "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven." The Amplified Bible.

The Day of The Lord (Part 4) Simon Barjona There are those to whom the keys are given! They have to do with the ones who see and hear that which is bound or loosed in heaven, and then they bind or loosen it in the earth. Jesus identified the type of person that He would be given the keys when He called one of His disciples, Simon Barjona. This name is perhaps not a key to binding and loosening, but is to understanding one of the mysteries of God, and that understanding comes in knowing the meaning of the two words: Simon means Hearing, and Barjona means Son of the Dove....

The Day of The Lord (Part 5) Fission & Fusion Whether an adamic or atomic reaction starts, there is an awesome amount of energy released, and I know something of this phenomenon. The very first atomic bomb that was detonated took place in my backyard, so to speak. This was when I was three years old. It was July 16, 1945 sixty miles northwest of my hometown of Alamogordo, New Mexico....1938 Nobel Prize-winning physicist, Enrico Fermi, was willing to bet anyone that the test would wipe out all life on Earth, with special odds on the mere destruction of the entire State of New Mexico!... |

Deadly Poison By now, the poor animal was running on adrenalin filled panic. Unfettered fear was the driving force of his hoofs as they dug into the ground with the power of every muscle and sinew pushing himself from the ground, and this was with my left leg still pinned between the saddle and the strands of barbed wire.... |
From Travail To Trumpets There was the flame of life in which the spirit and soul were bathed at His initial appearing, which was only a partial Apocalypse of Jesus Christ within His body. We were raised up in those days of blessings with many signs and wonders. We thought it was the hour to awake the dawn, and we tried. But as the sun has set on those wondrous days, we now with bowed heads, contrite hearts, and great travail of brokenness, are praying with fervency, and at times in desperation. We pray not for the return of those old days of God's glory.... |
The Apocalypse of Man's Freewill (Part 1 of 4) Man’s freewill—just how free is it? How far reaching does it extend? And what does man’s will have to do with salvation, if anything? Can he of his own choice renew the relationship that was lost by his great, great forefather, Adam? Can he by his own will accept the grace that God has to offer; namely, the atoning sacrifice and resurrection life of His Son, Jesus? Can he by his own means regain the relationship he had before it was lost?.... |
