BORN TO BE THE KING ...BORN TO BE A KING in him … A PRIESTLY KING     Part 3.

 

Melchisedec pattern of a priest-king … called elsewhere A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD. Today it all starts with PRINCES: [Dictionary:- from the latin meaning first or primary; e.g. principal … first or chief. A  non-reigning member of the royal family … hence less than a king but still has responsibilities as chief or ruler of a PRINCIpality]. A prince receives his title by inheritance, by being born into the royal family; when we’ve grown up/matured walking in the spirit, we will be promoted. His full authority is later delegated to him when the prince is deemed worthy.

BORN TO BE KING… JESUS (ref. Isaiah 9:6 prophecy) but as a pattern for us, was called ‘PRINCE of peace’. His father was the ‘King-of-kings’ witnessed by His prophetic birth announcement, “Where is he who is born king of the Jews?” (= ‘called’).

He was established as the enthroned King after His resurrection when he had overcome death; then referred to as Melchisedec … King of righteousness. Kingly authority is evident when ruling over a KINGdom. Jesus’s whole ministry was to show us His Kingdom -- Kingdom of heaven (arena of authority) and/or Kingdom of God (Source of authority)).   t.b.c.
