THE SACRED SECRET

(Colossians 1:27) … SAINTS … To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery …  Sounds exciting, don’t you think?

RICHES….Greek meaning from the base of G4130; wealth (as fulness), that is, (literally) money, possessions, or (figuratively) abundance, richness, (specifically) valuable bestowment: - riches.

What mystery?  Greek means “a secret” or “mystery” (through the idea of silence imposed by initiation into religious rites): - mystery…A SACRED SECRET. When you are entrusted with a secret, you cannot share its content unless allowed to by the party who shared it with you.

This secret is CHRIST IN YOU, your hope and mankind’s hope. Unless you can deliver the full ‘hope message in reality’ that will set your hearers 100% free in every arena as you are (?), better to wait … keep the secret … until you are equipped with that testimony! The preceding verse (Col.1:26) says this hope is made manifest … not only spoken about but something that can readily be seen because of the GREAT CHANGE we exhibit .
