Just-A-Thought No. 453 (February  6th. 2015)

SET YOUR FACE TOWARDS … All things new … Part 5

(Philipp. 3:13) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, (14)  I press toward the mark for the prize of [those things which are before which make up] the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

“ABOUT-FACE” the One in authority commands!!! The pattern was ‘behind’ in importance (you have probably ignored it for a good while???) now becomes ‘before’ you where you see it more clearly because you walk where you look. Where exactly are you looking?  To all those times of blessing which you enjoyed so much? or … To that which another (respected saint) sees? The Prize … Do you know what it is?   It is THE HIGH CALLING OF GOD IN CHRIST-JESUS.  In one aspect you will have to look up for this calling is way above (high) the normal expectation of believers! (like going to heaven!). You have come through the “Passover” stage of salvation; you have grown up through the realm of the Spirit (Pentecost) and now the torn veil to the fullness is before you …. so press on and make sure that you do not look back! Anything less than the image and likeness of our Father in/as us misses out. “My thoughts are not your thoughts” all the time you are looking back. But now, praise the Lord, resurrection and thoughts of full restoration -- even to pre-Adam-fall times of spirit…for we are spirit beings coming to the end of our earthly probation. Wow, it is almost too big to envisage …. naturally you cannot recall it for it is new! I have set my face like a flint (Isaiah 50:7) A flint will not bend  (compromise) … I will press on. I will stay focused.
