SHEILA’S [J-A-T] TIDBITS No.12 (May 6th. 2015) One morning recently, I found myself turning to Psalm 34. I sang the first four verses several times and then I knew I needed to read the rest of the Psalm. Isn't it amazing how every time we read a favourite passage, Father finds a way to show us something as fresh as the dew that is new every morning? V.9 Fear the Lord, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him. V.10. They that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing (Tidbit no. 5 - No good thing shall He withhold from them that walk uprightly') I AM REMINDED of a missionary whom we met many years ago. We drove her to a number of home meetings where she told of her experiences in Kenya during a time of terror and much hardship and lack of food. After a time of being hidden from the marauders, she was walking through the forest when she met an elderly saint trudging toward them and she asked how he had been. I can hear as clearly today how she told of his answer. He quoted Psalm 37 v 25, "I have been young and now am old yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor His seed begging bread". I have never forgotten this. As we hear of so many similar happenings in many countries today, I know that there must be many such testimonies. Let us not forget that our Father does not change and He does deliver us from all our fears. He does provide our needs. He never leaves us or forsakes us. “Thank You Father for your loving care”. Blessings to you. Sheila. |
