SHEILA’S [J-A-T] TIDBITS   No.23      (August 17th. 2015)

(Psalm 91:11)  For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. Thinking still of angelic happenings, I AM REMINDED of my “Shingle-attack”!  Ray and I had been traveling for a few weeks in the States; we were only home over night, before  we were to head north.   A nasty looking sore had  appeared on my cheek. Laundry and re-packing needed to be done but, expecting to be away for a few weeks, we decided to get a doctor’s opinion on this sore so at 8 o'clock that evening I squeezed in a visit to a walk-in clinic. The doctor took one look at it and said quite simply, ‘You have shingles and it has progressed beyond the point I can give you anything for it. It will just take its course. You need to take it easy."    "Ha!" I walked out of his clinic saying, “I do not accept this”.   It all happened a number of years ago but I know that we were calling on our Father and He was listening to us!  We were packed and ready to leave; my long dressing table was clear except for a few toiletries gathered together at one end for last-minute packing. Upon waking at the far end there was a single small bottle of oil!  “Ray, did you put this  bottle of oil on my dresser?".  “No,” was Ray’s response and I knew I had not put it there! The oil had been in the bathroom cabinet for a long while and right then I really did not recall the uses of such a product.  I immediately knew that an angel had moved it where I couldn’t but see it. I put some of the oil on the sore. We arrived at our son’s home that evening. The sore was totally gone and I never had another symptom of shingles. Thank You Father for your loving  care and for the angelic help.  P.T.L.  

Imported Blessing: Let us be ever alert to see and acknowledge the help that the ministering angels give us.  I wonder how many times they have been present to aid us or to keep us safe from accidents.  We have friends whose grandchild fell from a car on a busy highway and the people in the car behind saw the child falling but couldn't believe their eyes as the child was scooped up just before hitting the ground and placed gently on the side of the highway by an invisible presence.  WOW!  Thank You Father for Your ministering angels!
