FOUND IN HIM
That I may win Christ, and be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ.” (Phil.
3:8-9)
Seven times the word ‘found’ is used relative to the believer’s life, as we are
processed until our faith is “found unto praise and honour and glory at the
appearing of Jesus Christ,” (I Peter 1:7).
FOUND FAITHFUL: “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found
faithful.” (I Cor. 4:2)
FOUND WALKING IN TRUTH: “I rejoice greatly that I found of thy children walking
in truth, as we have received a commandment of the Father.” (II John 4)
FOUND FEEDING MEAT IN DUE SEASON: “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom
his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
(Matthew 24:45-46).
FOUND IN PEACE: “Be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot,
and blameless.” (II Peter 3:14)
FOUND WATCHING: “Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He cometh shall
find watching…and if He shall come in the second watch, or come in the third
watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.” (Luke 12:37-38)
FOUND CLOTHED: “I counsel thee to buy of Me white raiment, that thou mayest be
clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness do not appear.” (Rev. 3:18). “If so be
that being clothed we shall not be found naked.” (II Cor. 5:3)
FOUND IN HIM: “That I may win Christ, and be found in Him.”
(Phil. 3:9)
This is not wrought in one grand leap, the ultimate proof of our faith is to be
found in Him. It is worked out by degrees of surrender through which we pass.
All qualifications met by His grace, there is a ONENESS IN HIM, which is every
believer’s goal.
