INVISIBLE REALITIES
“For he persevered as though he were actually seeing Him who is unseen,”
(Williams trans). Those who live only by the natural senses of touch, taste,
smell, hearing, seeing, require that things be made manifest outwardly and
literally in earthy substance. They have no comprehension of the higher realms.
Because of this blindness to the spiritual realm, they know little of that
comfort and inner strength which causes the believer to OVERCOME, and go from
victory to victory.
Paul wrote, “Now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face: now I
know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known,” (I Cor. 13:12).
Williams’ footnote gives explanation for the phrase ‘face to face’, “THAT IS,
SEE THE VERY REALITIES, GOD HIMSELF, TRUTH ITSELF, etc”. This is the realm set
before us, until we shall see God Himself, Truth itself, as the invisible
becomes more real to us than this present earthy system about us. So real that
the revelation to our spirit is a tangible reality.
It is this partaking of the ‘Spirit realm’ which will enable the overcomer to
walk with the royal dignity of His Kingdom, through the circumstances of the
present, and emerge victorious, Saying with Paul, “I have come to learn, in the
circumstances in which I am placed, to be independent of these,” (Phil. 4:11,
Wuest). How can we be independent of our situations? Only when we see HIM who is
beyond all our circumstances. When He who is the True Light fills our being with
Himself, He dissipates into nothingness the darkness that surrounded us.
“Whom having not seen (by natural sight), ye love; in Whom, though now ye see
Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.” (I
Peter 1:8)
Invisible realities, beholding them we find
Stability to undergird, and blessed peace of mind.
Invisible realities, eyes opened now to see
The glory of the Father once veiled in mystery.
