BLESSINGS OUR OF ZION
“The Lord that made heaven
and earth bless thee out of
Zion.” (Psalm 134:3)
Bless – to declare blessed.
The Greek is “eulogeo,” to
speak well of. It is the
same root word from whence
comes our English word to
“eulogize.” Natural man will
give a eulogy at a funeral,
to speak well of a man at
the end of his life, a
retrospective view. But when
God speaks a blessing, it is
a word that initiates the
action to bring it to pass,
whereby what He speaks is
fulfilled. He speaks it at
the beginning of a man’s
life, and then proceeds to
bring that life into
alignment with that
blessing.
When God roars out of Zion,
it is not only a word
against all unrighteousness,
to bring an end to this
degeneration, but it also is
to speak a REGENERATION, to
speak well of, and then to
initiate the action whereby
all shall be brought into
oneness with this spoken
word. “Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth,
peace, good will toward
men.” There is a message of
BLESSING, of peace and good
will. How the earth longs to
hear that message. “How
beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of him that
bringeth good tidings, that
publisheth peace… that saith
unto Zion, Thy God reigneth.”
(Is. 52:7).
“The Lord will bless His
people with peace
(completeness).” (Ps.
29:11). We see that Zion is
a company highly blessed of
God, that they might become
a blessing, a people through
whom all nations of the
earth shall be blessed. What
is the word that proceeds
from our lips in this hour?
Negative condemnations? Or,
are we finding that He can
speak through us words of
blessing, positive, hope,
encouragement, victory?
“As the dew that descended
upon the mountains of Zion:
for there the Lord commanded
the blessing, even life for
evermore.” (Ps. 133:3).
Out of Zion, lo, He
comes,
Broken strings with music
hums,
Who can count His blessing’s
sums?
Roll again those marching
drums,
Evil forces He benumbs,
On earth His kingdom now
becomes
