BROUGHT OUT, AND IN
“And He brought us out from thence, that He might
bring us in, to give us the land which He sware unto
our fathers.” (Deut. 6:23)
Our desire is to be “found in Him.” (Phil. 3:9), and
this desire is intensified by our daily travail, as
He prepares us, advances us step by step, that we
might truly be BROUGHT IN, into a deeper realm and
closer relationship with our Lord. “As we have borne
the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the
image of the heavenly.” (1 Cor. 15:49).
But there has to first be a “brought out,” before we
can fully enter into the new realms of His glory.
Thus God is leading His people out of the
entrapments of Babylon. He is not exchanging
high-fenced pastures for some low-fenced pastures.
He is not exchanging a short leash for a longer one.
He would bring us out completely, and then bring us
in to a whole new dimension in Him. “He hath called
us out of darkness into His marvellous light.” (1
Pet. 2:9).
“Jesus…suffered without the gate. Let us go forth
therefore unto Him without the camp, bearing His
reproach.” (Heb. 13:12-13).
“He led me about the way without unto the utter
gate.” (Ezekiel 47:2).
“Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the
way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it.” (Matt. 7:14).
He brought me out – yes, praise God! A wonderful
process in itself, but this is not the goal, just to
be brought out, it was “from thence” that HE MIGHT
BRING US IN. There is a whole new horizon before us!
“And have put on the new which is renewed in
knowledge after the image of Him that created him.”
(Col. 3:17). God does not tolerate a vacuum, He is
not bringing us out of the old, to leave us in a
state of nothingness, but that we might now be
renewed into the fullness of divine reality.
“O send out Thy light and Thy truth: let them lead
me; let them bring me unto Thy holy hill, and to Thy
tabernacles.” (Ps. 43:3). Praise God for His light
which leads us – to be FOUND IN HIM, where He makes
all things new.
