All Are
His Servants
by

"Praise ye Him, all His
angels: praise ye Him, all His
hosts. - Fire, and hail; snow,
and vapours; stormy wind
fulfilling His
word."
(Psalm 148:2,8)
Not only shall God have His
appointed servants to do His
bidding for His people
collectively, but also
individually, God has His
instruments through whom He
works to bring salvation to His
elect. And in our purifyings,
in our perfecting process, He
has laid hold of many strange
servants for the task. We might
be prone to question how this
"servant" could ever do us any
good, but just let God anoint
what He wants for the purpose,
the end is secure - overcomers
that stand before him to His
praise and glory.
Fire, hail, snow, vapours,
stormy wind - servants of HIS
fulfilling His Word. Often we
have heard that it was the
"devil" that was stirring things
up causing so much disturbance.
We were told that "the prince
of the power of the air"
caused much of this agitation in
the elements. But these are
God's servants, they are
fulfilling His Word, and
regardless of what lesser forces
are involved, or how negative
they appear, God is still in
control over all, and all must
ultimately fulfill His
determined council and plan.
We are not serving two Gods, a
God for good, and a god for
evil. We are not on the
receiving end of two sources, a
Giver of good, and a dispenser
of evil. If it is a blessing
today we give the credit to the
Lord, but if it suddenly changes
and does us evil, then the devil
must have a hand in it. Next,
trouble seems to be piling up
and we know the devil is behind
the whole thing, except that
somehow it works into good, so
the Lord must have been in it
after all. What kind of
double-mindedness is this?
When we begin to receive all
things as from God's hand, even
though others might have
intended it for evil, you know
that "God meant it for good,"
(Genesis 50:20), then there
is a peace within, a rest in God
which this world can neither
give, nor take away. We will
not resist the circumstance, nor
fight the condition, for we know
God has arranged for it to work
for us, for good. All are His
servants! Praise ye the Lord!
