We
Have An Altar
by Ray Prinzing
"We have an altar,
whereof they have no
right to east which
serve the tabernacle."
(Hebrews 13:10)
For truth to become
reality it must needs be
fulfilled by being
personified in the life
of the believer.
Precious, indeed, are
the inworkings of the
Spirit as the truth is
revealed, and then
experientially worked
into each one. "The
living, the living, he
shall priase Thee, as I
do this day: the father
to the children shall
make known Thy truth."
(Isaiah 38:19).
Every family, in their
own home, must
experience the depth of
His inworkings, that as
Israel of old, so shall
they be protected from
plagues, the distresses,
and confusion which is
upon our land. The
usurped priesthood of
the institutional
structures of religion
is being overthrown, and
once again God is
restoring to the home a
proper order, with the
fathers ministering to
their own, and with
ample coverage for those
who have no such
provision, for "pure
religion and undefiled
before God and the
Father is this, To visit
the fatherless and
widows in their
affliction, and to keep
himself unspotted from
the world." (James
1:27).
There are many
dimensions to the
"altar," but the writer
to the Hebrews bears out
the fact there is a
dimension which goes
beyond religious
ceremony and ritual.
There is an ALTAR
EXPERIENCE of greater
depth for those who are
willing to come into the
"fellowship of His
sufferings, being made
conformable unto His
death. (Philippians
3:10). These shall know
the reality, both for
its sacrifice, and for
its glory. The root
thought in sacrifice" is
the "TABLE-BOND" between
the worshipper and his
God. A communion and
fellowship that goes
beyond the casual
observance, lays bear
the secrets of the
heart, and enriches the
inner spirit of man.
The sweet fragrance of
worship arising before
the Lord, to fill the
life and home with the
glory of His presence.
A broken spirit,
contrite heart
Is offered up,
withhold no part,
And in complete
surrender find
Thy will to His has
been aligned.
