GOD’S GLORIOUS HAND

Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power. Thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.” (Exodus 15:6)

“Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! – shall the clay say to Him that fashioneth it, What makest Thou? Or Thy work, He hath no hands?” (Isa. 45:9). How often have we grumbled, mumbled, complained and fumed, saying in effect “HE HATH NO HANDS.” No, you don’t actually look heavenward and ask, “God, did someone amputate Your hands?” But what we do is view all the tests and situations around us as if God was not in control of them. In this nitty-gritty of everyday living do we actually believe that HE IS “working all things after the counsel of His own will”? (Eph. 1:11). Or, by our carnal thinking and complaining do we actually suppose that He hath no hands? When we learn to see the hand of God in all that touches our life, it will change our whole attitude of His ways and workings.

II Chron. 30:12, “Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.” There is a religious ecumenical movement that would try to bring everyone into oneness with Babylon’s system. Praise God, in contradistinction to this, THE HAND OF GOD is bringing His Judah (literally, His praise people, those who praise Him IN and FOR all things), into oneness with Himself, they are becoming of one heart to do the law – the will of God.

Ezra 7:28, “And I was strengthened as the hand of the Lord my God was upon me.” All of the processings of the Lord, all of the inworkings of His grace, including His disciplines, judgments, and purgings – all are to one end, that we might be strengthened, built up in Him. “The people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel 11:32).

His hand is glorious, and by His hand He is bringing forth a glorious people, strong, victorious in His victory. “That Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” (I Chron. 4:10). Amen!
