INWORKINGS OF OUR CHANGE
“If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder Him?” (Job
11:10)
If God purposes that we are to be ‘cut off’
from a certain realm, then who can hinder that change from taking place?
Separation is a very vital part of the transforming process within us. We learn
to part with the old, to come into the new. There is a new dimension of glory
before us, but we cannot drag ‘the good old days’ into that which is being
birthed. The cutting off is often painful, and we make our way to Zion with
weepings, but remember, while “Weeping may endure for a night, joy cometh in the
morning.” The former passes away like a dream of the night, and is forgotten
because of the glory of the new.
Then betimes He will also ‘shut up,’ hem us in, like the worm in the cocoon. But
during this seemingly inactive time many changes are taking place in its
structure, to later emerge no longer as a worm but as a butterfly. Praise God,
even when we are SHUT UP to Him in those circumstances which allow us no freedom
of our own will, yet there is an inner life, the CHRIST LIFE, WORKING ITS
CHANGES. While we are not isolated in a literal cocoon, amazing how God has a
way of separating us, cutting off times of fellowship, hemming us in with
invisible walls, holding us to Himself, while He works in us this deep
transformation which will be to His praise.
“Or gather together.” This, too, is a part of His operation, but we will not be
gathered together unto Him without the former processing’s of change. Yet, when
it is time for the gathering, who then can hinder Him? “Unto Him shall the
gathering of the people be” (Gen. 49:10). And when He gives the command, “Gather
My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by
sacrifice,” (Ps. 50:5), there is nothing that shall hinder this coming together
unto Him, Praise God.
We oft’ stand in awe while beholding His ways,
Be assured, grace sufficient for all of these days.
