OCTOBER 10
INWORKING OF RESURRECTION
“Who shall change our vile
body, that it might be
fashioned like unto His
glorious body, according to
the working whereby He is
able even to subdue all
things unto Himself.” (Phil.
3:21)
So often when men speak of
the “works of God” it is
always OVER THERE, in some
other part of the country,
in some other individual.
But we have examined the
Word to find that it
bespeaks of an INWORKING,
that which works IN US.
There is a power that can
work behind the “iron
curtain,” yes. But there is
a power that can WORK IN ME,
subdue all things in me,
until the change is wrought
in me. He is able, we are
assured, by His working, to
subdue ALL THINGS to
Himself, collectively, and
individually. It will be
total redemption in every
individual, personal, real,
to His glory.
“Buried with Him in baptism,
wherein also ye are risen
with Him through the faith
of the operation of God, Who
raised Him from the dead.”
(Col. 2:12).
From the inworkings of death
to the inworkings of His
power of resurrection, the
SAME GOD working all in all.
He is the Alpha and the
Omega, the Beginning and the
End. This is not some form
of “self-realization” that
makes us our own saviour and
deliverer. The operation,
the inworking is all GOD’s.
No wonder Paul prayed that
we might KNOW “what is the
exceeding greatness of His
power to us-ward who
believe, according to the
working of his mighty power,
which He wrought in Christ,
when He raised Him from the
dead, and set Him at His own
right hand in the heavenlies.”
(Eph. 1:19-20).
According to - harmony with
- the same power which
wrought in Christ that
glorious resurrection from
the dead, is the power that
in like manner is working in
us to transform us, and
bring us into His newness of
life. Here is power that is
able to take us “out from
among the dead.” Power that
can deliver from the grave.
There is no death, physical,
mental, spiritual, that can
hinder the inworking of His
resurrection power. “Now
unto Him that is able to do
exceedingly abundantly above
all that we ask or think,
according to the power that
worketh in us.” (Eph. 3:20).
