SALVATION OUT OF ZION

“O that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of His people, Jacob shall rejoice, Israel shall be glad.” (Psalm 53:6)

Where does the salvation of Israel come from? OUT OF ZION! Yes, we know that Jesus Christ is THE SAVIOUR, and in all He shall have pre-eminence. But, “Lo came the Lord in holy myriads of Himself.” (Jude 14, Literal trans).

Salvation – Hebrew word is “yeshuah,” safety, ease, and expressed by the name Jesus. The Anointed Saviour, Jesus Christ, is coming forth from Zion. HIS LIFE in all its deliverance ministry shall be expressed through His saints.

“And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.” (Rom. 11:26).

“Upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness… and saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the Lord’s.” (Obadiah 17,21).

Salvation is more than an experience, it is a state of being, a person. Not only the person of Jesus Christ, but all of our experience of salvation is for the purpose of our BECOMING SALVATION, becoming saviours, those able to bring this ease, safety, comfort, deliverance, to others. The highest order of anything is to become that thing. It shall be to the glory of God when our state of being is salvation personified – HIS LIFE the totality of our life. This does not belittle His Deity, nor take away from His glory, but this becomes the expansion, the manifold expression of His glory, the out-shining of His light.

“For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.” (Isa. 62:1). Moffatt - “Till her triumph shines out brilliant, and her deliverance like a blazing torch.”
