JUNE 26
LENGTHEN THY CORDS
“Enlarge the place of thy
tent, and let them stretch
forth the curtains of thine
habitations: Spare not,
lengthen thy cords, and
strengthen thy stakes; for
thou shalt break forth on
the right hand and on the
left.” (Isa. 54:2-3)
The message through the
prophet comes ringing clear.
After the years of
barrenness, the ending of
the old order systems, there
is the birthing of the new
increase which shall expand
and fill the earth with joy.
The timing thereof is
parallel with the dying of
the old, for the pangs of
death to the old order are
also the birth-pangs of the
new. Out of the travail of
the night shall be heard a
new sound. Many will be born
into the kingdom. Now is the
time to enlarge thy tent.
This does not mean new
building programs to house
new converts. It means our
vision needs to be enlarged,
our mind renewed, so that we
are ready for the new
workings of God, ready to
reach out and embrace with
love those whom He is
drawing to Himself.
Lengthen thy cords! “I drew
them with cords of a man,
with bands of LOVE.” (Hosea
11:4). Angelic visitations
have their place, and
invisible drawings of the
Spirit are precious, but God
also shall have a man ready
to give love to gather in
and uphold the needy. “And a
man shall be as an hiding
place from the wind, and a
covert from the tempest; as
rivers of water in a dry
place, as the shadow of a
great rock in a weary land.”
(Isa. 32:2).
Praise God, He shall have
this man, a new creation
man, Jesus Christ the Head,
and a many-membered-body,
which shall shew forth His
love and mercy, to be that
hiding place, that refuge,
ready to receive those who
call upon the Lord for
deliverance and salvation.
How we need to lengthen the
cords – till love is able to
reach out and gather in a
universe that so desperately
needs regeneration. “Not
imputing their trespasses
unto them.” (2 Cor. 5:19).
The ministry of HIS LOVE
flowing through this
corporate new creation man
shall bring to nought the
kingdoms of this world, and
establish the kingdom of our
God in righteousness. Lo,
long the world has waited
for this pure love of God to
be revealed, now shall it
come forth to bless and
renew.
